At NEET MDS (accessible via our mobile application), we prioritize the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by the app and how we use it.

1. Information Collection and Use

Local Data Storage (Privacy by Design)

Unlike traditional applications, NEET MDS is an offline-capable application.

  • Personal Information: When you register, we ask for your Full Name and a Username.
  • Progress Data: We track your quiz scores, accuracy, subjects tested, and time taken.
  • Storage Location: All personal and performance data is stored locally on your device using your browser’s Local Storage. We do not transmit your scores, names, or passwords to any external servers.
  • Authentication: Your password is encrypted locally on your device. We do not have access to your password.

Third-Party Services

While the core app functions offline, we use certain third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device:

  • Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data (such as your Advertising ID) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
  • Google Fonts: Our app loads typography from Google’s servers to ensure a premium UI experience.

2. Device Permissions

To provide full functionality, the app requests the following permissions:

  • Internet & Network State: Required to load advertisements and check for updates.
  • Storage (Read/Write): Required for the Backup & Restore feature, allowing you to export your progress to a file or import previous data.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

Since your data is stored locally:

  • App Uninstallation: If you uninstall the app or clear its data/cache, all your progress, scores, and account information will be permanently deleted unless you have previously used the “Export Data” feature to create a backup.
  • Manual Deletion: You can reset your data at any time through the app settings.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information locally. However, remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device secured with a passcode or biometric lock to protect your local app data.

5. Children’s Privacy

This application is designed for dental students and professionals preparing for the NEET MDS examination. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
